Directions
Rub a orange wedge around the rim of a glass and dip it into the Cherry Sugar. Fill the glass with 1 cup of ice.
In a cocktail shaker or separate glass, combine 1 oz. Orange Vodka, 2–3 Tbsp. Country Spritz Black Currant Sangria Mix, Stir or shake briefly to combine.
Pour the mixture into your prepared glass and top with 4 oz. of Sparkling Water. Give it a gentle stir to integrate the flavors without losing the fizz.
Top with an orange wedge, then serve immediately.
Recipe Note
Mix Mastery: For the smoothest consistency, ensure you stir or shake the Country Spritz Mix with the vodka thoroughly before adding the sparkling soda. This ensures the powder is fully dissolved for a silky mouthfeel.
The Fizz Factor: Always add the sparkling soda last. To preserve the carbonation, use a long bar spoon to give it one "lift" from the bottom rather than aggressive stirring; this keeps the drink effervescent and refreshing.
Rim Technique: When applying the Cherry Sugar, try to coat only the outside of the rim. This prevents the sugar from falling into the drink and altering the balance of sweetness.
Make it a Mocktail: To enjoy this as a non-alcoholic refresher, simply swap the orange vodka for an extra splash of orange juice or a premium orange-flavored sparkling water.
Temperature Matters: For the best results, use "hard" ice (large, solid cubes) to keep the drink cold without diluting the bold black currant and orange flavors too quickly.
Custom Sweetness: If you prefer a drier cocktail, stick to 2 Tbsp. of the mix. For a richer, more dessert-like sangria profile, go with the full 3 Tbsp.
