Ingredients

  • 1 large (or 2 standard) bag(s) of plain Cubed stuffing mix without seasoning (approx. 12-14 oz total)

  • ½ Cup (1 stick) butter

  • 3 stalks celery, finely chopped

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • ½ tsp. Dried Thyme Leaf

  • ½ tsp. Dried Rosemary

  • ½ tsp. Dried Sage

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1½ cups to 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth (adjust based on bag instructions and desired moisture)

  • Salt (only if needed; test first, as broths are often salty)

  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tsp. Parsley Flakes

  • Cooking spray for crock pot

Directions

Step 1

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté celery, onions, and herbs, seasoning with salt and pepper, until onions are translucent; then remove from heat and let cool.

Step 2

  • Grease a crock pot and add cubed bread. Combine with the vegetable mixture, eggs, broth, and parsley, tossing to coat. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, stirring halfway through. Garnish with parsley and serve.
