Ingredients

  • 8 oz. (half a pound) of linguine
  • 1 pound of cleaned and deveined shrimp
  • 1tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 diced yellow onion
  • 1-2 teaspoons of minced garlic (1-2 cloves of garlic)
  • 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning (or more according to your taste)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) of diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup of heavy whipping cream

Directions

Step 1

Start by boiling half a pound of linguine.

Step 2

In a separate pan, cook a pound of cleaned and deveined shrimp until pink. Move shrimp to plate.

Step 3

To the same pan add a tablespoon of olive oil, along with a diced yellow onion, 1-2 teaspoons of minced garlic, and a teaspoon of Cajun seasoning (or more according to your taste).

Step 4

Cook for a few minutes, then add a can of diced tomatoes and half a cup of heavy whipping cream. Let it simmer until it thickens and toss in cooked pasta, add the shrimp back in to the pan.
