Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Pepitas
  • 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. Ground Allspice
  • ½ tsp. Ground Ginger
  • ½ tsp. Kosher Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Pepper
  • Pinch of Ground Nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Maple Syrup

Directions

Step 1

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Step 2

  • Add the pepitas to a large skillet and toast over medium-low heat, stirring frequently until golden brown and fragrant, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 3

  • Meanwhile, combine the cinnamon, allspice, ginger, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 4

  • Remove the pepitas from the pan and return the pan to the stove top. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup and 1 tsp. water, stir until the sugar dissolves.

Step 5

  • Stir in spices and add pepitas, toss until the seeds are evenly coated.

Step 6

  • Pour onto the lined baking sheet and spread to cool completely. Serve.
